Stuffed Bread!

There's nothing this Italian Mamma loves more than good Italian Bread!  And what better way to improve upon this LOVE of my life than to STUFF it with more goodness!! After graciously accepting my loss in the "Mamma Meets the Cucina" Meatball Challenge, I admitted to my love of stromboli!  Dominic Condo's Meatball Stromboli was a hit, but I cannot resist a good Pepperoni Stromboli!  I had to make Condo's recipe as somewhat of a peace offering (and maybe because it tastes a little bit.....incredible).

I also LOVE Sausage Stromboli.  So I made a sort of stuffed Sausage bread, very similar to the recipe I blogged about over at my Una Mamma Italiana blog this week - Stuffed Zucchini.  I took the same filling of zucchini, fresh tomatoes, cheeses, parsley, Italian sausage, seasoning, etc - and stuffed my fresh dough with it.  Wrapped it up like the 'present' it was - and Bellisima! THE PERFECT STROMBOLI! - and it was all on a whim!

See the recipe for the filling HERE:

Look at that - Italian, authentic, AND resourceful! (the recipe.....AND me!)

Mamma,
I just saw your stuffed sausage bread. Now I know I am not the only one who wants to make this. My Idea is to make the bread "finger size" for my co-workers on super bowl Sunday. With marinara dipping sauce of course.
Tony,
