In anticipation of the Wimbledon tennis tournament, the New York Times compared the rackets used by the top three men's tennis players. More important to us pizzaficionados, though, is another "racket" recently sampled by the publication's Frugal Traveler when traveling in Napoli. This racchetta, served at Pizzeria Starita, was: "...a 7 euro pizza shaped like a racquetball racket, with ricotta and mushrooms hidden in the handle and tomatoes, eggplant, and buffalo mozzarella on the would-be racket head."
The description and image of the pizza alone make me want to add it to my "pizzeria bucket list" the next time I visit Napoli.
