Rome, Italy,
I am a foodie, coffee connoisseur and cook at heart. I'm a freelance food & travel writer, lead private food & wine tours in Italy and provide consulting services for restaurant and tour operators. I write with passion about the people, places and regional cuisine of Italy. I travel across Italy meeting artisan food experts, wine producers and chefs. Uncovering wine & culinary history, traditional & creative food recipes and emerging food trends is an endless adventure! I hold a Master’s degree in the history of Italian Food and Gastronomy from the “Universita’ degli Studi di Roma Tor Vergata”. I earned an MBA at NYU and worked in financial services in Boston, New York, and London before moving into the food and tourism industry. In 2006, I worked for the Craft family of restaurants in NYC in business development & marketing and spent some time in the kitchen before relocating to Rome in 2007. I'm currently studying at the Associazione Italiana Sommelier (AIS) to become a certified sommelier.
